By incorporating CupCheck® into the physical education curriculum, schools can provide students with a well-rounded physical education experience that promotes inclusivity, skill development, fitness, teamwork, sportsmanship, and enjoyment.
CupCheck® Game offers numerous advantages for youngsters, promoting physical, mental, and social development. Here are some key benefits:
CupCheck® is a competitive game played between two teams in a best-of-three format. Each team consists of two players, and at least one game must be played with mixed-gender teams. The teams take turns being the attacking and defending team. The winner of a rock-paper-scissors game chooses whether their team attacks or defends first. The objective is to score points and be the first team to reach a score of 21.
Points can be earned on offense by knocking both cups to the ground (4 points), splitting the poles without knocking the cups off (3 points), or striking the pole and knocking a cup to the ground (2 points, 4 if both cups fall down). On defense, if the offense strikes a cup but a defender catches it one-handed before it hits the ground, the defense is awarded 1 point.
There are certain rules to follow, such as controlled throws, one-handed cup catches for defenders, and no “fastballs” allowed. The game cannot be won on defense alone. If the score is tied, the tie can only be broken by scoring 2, 3, or 4 points offensively.
There are also rules regarding late arrivals and eligibility, as well as penalties for breaking the rules. The game must be played within a designated time frame, and the team with the most points or games won is declared the winner if time runs out.
Overall, the game requires strategy, skill, and teamwork to outscore the opposing team and emerge victorious.
